Why is this dullness , this sorrow
Why is there no life even if we have to borrow
Why today brothers fight against their own
Why in the heart of man seeds of hatred as sown
Why today people are bent on fighting
Why sibling is against sibling
Why today we can’t see the larger view
Why today we have such a partial view
Why today a line on the map is reason enough to kill
Why kids are given guns to play, why this skill
Why can’t we live in peace and harmony
Why can’t we listen to the music of love, it’s symphony
Why can’t we forget our differences and extend
Why are we bent on bringing this world to it’s terrible end
Why do we forget that we all are the same
Why do we forget that we all pray in the same name
Why are there still thousands of hungry mouths to feed
Why is there much with some , none where the need
Why do I still see crying faces, their eyes brimming
Why are there many clouds but no silver lining
Why are there so many questions but no answer
