The night was lovely, the air was chill
She looked beautiful, dressed to kill
It all seemed too good almost like a trance
I put my hand forward asking her for a dance
There was nobody there we were all alone
The setting was romantic, it had the right tone
She was looking lovely, I fell in love again
I wanted to confess it, was too hard to restrain
We danced to the tune, almost like one
I said ‘I love you’ but there was no response, none
I felt something weird a sharp pain instead
She had a gun, she shot me with pellets of lead
It was like a dream I felt no pain hence
I gazed at her face, it made no sense
Why did she kill me, I loved her so
She had my heart but she wanted the torso
I lied down there while she walked away
Not even glancing at me as I was a cast away
I loved her still, as my heart grew stiller
She was my love, she was my killer
