Heart full of diamond, pocket full of stone

Walking up the pavement, staring at the sky
Its canvas lit up with many hues, a masterpiece
A stroke here and a dab there, I wish I could grab a brush
But alas, time comes with a price
I’ve got a heart full of diamond but a pocket full of stone

The smell of rain reminds me of childhood
The pitter-patter, the whole world seems a playground
I used to play along, soaking wet, some sweet memories
But memories must remain memories
I’ve got a heart full of diamond but a pocket full of stone

Daydreaming about the perfect place to be
I’ll live like a king then, i’ll have my own place
Or maybe I’ll sing in concerts, be a rockstar
I am almost there, just without the band and the guitar
I’ve got a heart full of diamond but a pocket full of stone

A pair of eyes that steal your heart, a smile so beautiful
You wish that you make it your own, forever
But the road is long, and I’ve just begun, they can wait
The heart will still beat, they eyes will wait for your return
Coz I’ve got a heart full of diamond but a pocket full of stone
