Burning Still

There was once a fire that you set ablaze

A fire inside me, a fire that was new to me

You wanted the heat, I kept on burning

You wanted the light, I kept on shining



When you were warn enough, you went away

But the fire still remains, I am burning still



All those nights, all the times when it was dark

I was near you, you were never alone at night

You were asleep ,for you I kept on burning

You were alone , for you I kept on shining



When it was bright day, you went away

But the fire remains, I am burning still



There were times that you had no one around

I did my best, my flames tried to make you happy

Though it hurt me a bit, I kept on burning

Though it was not my choice, I kept on shining



When you found your friends, you went away

But the fire remains, I am burning still



There was a time when you liked the sparks

There was a time when you loved the glow

For that happiness, I kept on burning

For that glow, I kept on shining



When ashes remained, you went away
